About 78 new students who signed up for troop 1001 attended their first class in SMJA block B. The one hour class was about the organization structure, whos who and how different is scouts with other uniform bodies. The structure stresses about all members are SMJA students first and must always follow school rulings. Any welfare and movement matters must always go to the newly appointed Cikgu Mohd. Arif and Cikgu Zahir. The teachers in charge will refer matters to CCA office as well as the Principal office. Official decision will follow. From then on it will be the coordination between teacher-in-charge and appointed Scout Leader on the programs, logistics etc.
The class also learnt about the history of troop 1001 and they are the "generasi penyambung" or the continuation generation of the First Scout Troop for secondary education in Brunei. The students are now slowly familiarising on how scouting is done on CCA period. We all look forward to the next class where everyone will be learning the Scout Promise and Law.
